Second in a short series of Freelance Enlightenment
Things you cannot charge for (normally) as a freelancer:
1. Your own investment in hardware/software/underwear
2. Time spent travelling miles and miles to the rural location of your terribly rural client, who will not pay London rates – “Not in bloody Soho now, me lad”
3. Time spent downloading attached images/files that turn out to be a complete waste of time
4. Time spent uploading re-attached images to explain the moot point
5. Hire of machinery/stationery that you hump to their office because the ‘hot desk’ is a bare surface
6. Therapy before a pitch
7. Sickness of a pitch
8. Holidays after a pitch
9. Late payments
10. Repetition, hesitation, or deviation.. Not even just a minute’s worth
